We enjoyed a nice quiet weekend, starting out with cocktails on our front porch Friday night. We got to meet our new neighbor to the south and whipped up a pesto chicken pizza for dinner. A great evening. The rest of the weekend consisted mostly of us watching our football teams win - on TV, not live - and Jo cooking up a pot of tomato sauce using fresh vegetables and herbs from the garden (from Sheri's recipe) to freeze and get us ready for a winter of spaghetti. We threw in a couple of nice long walks although there was much griping from both parties on the ever shortening days and the fact we were walking in sweat pants already. We are bracing for a cold, cold winter - got to love Wisconsin.
