Last weekend we took advantage of the warmer weather (at least for Wisconsin as the temperatures got into the high 30's and low 40's) to visit the nearby town of Port Washington. It is a quaint little town about 30 minutes north of Milwaukee on Lake Michigan. We walked around the town, enjoyed a nice lunch looking out on the lake, and shopped at the Duluth Trading Company store that appeared to be the major downtown retailer.
On the way out of town we stopped at the Lion's Den Gorge to do a little hiking. While the trail was a bit icy at points, there were great views of the shoreline from atop the bluffs. On the way home we debated the merits of buying a 400 acre farm we saw for sale just south of town. Not that we really need a farm, but there is just something attractive to me about owning 400 acres of land. Maybe in the future...
