Going Green

To celebrate our Irish heritage, we headed to downtown Milwaukee to enjoy the St. Patrick's day parade.  While a bit chilly, we enjoyed the young Irish dancers and other's getting their green on.  We did notice that it mostly seemed to be a time for people to just walk in a parade - especially politicians.  We particularly enjoyed  the Scottish and German organizations marching in the parade celebrating Irish heritage.  Again, seemed like a good time to go out and walk down the streets of Milwaukee while keeping warm with a wee bit of alcohol.

Otherwise, we have been enjoying the warm up in weather along with a trip over to Madison.  Jo had a chemistry board meeting as our reason for the visit.  It gave us a chance to get another load of stuff from one house to another as well as I got in a bit of cleaning.  We did find time to take in the new Marvel's movie, get in a little shopping (rugs for the upstairs bathrooms!! - yes we live a wild and crazy existence), and a lovely dinner with Hans and Ieva at Eno Vino.  Hans was the professor I did my graduate work with and it was fun reminiscing and learning about what everyone that was in the lab with me is currently doing.  Dinner was also quite tasty although we did order a bit too much for the table.
